Luke Adam continues to make his case for remaining with the Sabres It’s a different day, but the same story for the Buffalo Sabres. The Sabres took on the Los Angeles Kings in the first ever NHL game in Berlin, Germany and came out on top with a 4-2 win. The game started out with a back-and-forth pace in the first period with the Goalies getting the better of the skaters during the first frame to keep it scoreless after one. The second period was a completely different story however. The Sabres dominated every aspect of the game during the second period as they took a 3-0 lead before the Kings finally got on the scoreboard. Rookie Luke Adam continues to impress as he opened the scoring for the Sabres just 2:40 into the period. Then, 2:20 later, Adam scored again for the Sabres to give them a 2-0 lead just five minutes into the second period. Eight minutes later, Paul Gaustad redirected a shot by Nathan Gerbe past Jonathan Bernier to give the Sabres a 3-0 lead. Anze Kopitar put the K...

GARTH: REVIEW/PREVIEW

Its a business trip. Not a European excursion. Lindy Ruff said yesterday that he wants his team to enjoy the wins for a few minutes, then, switch the channel to the next game. He doesn't like it when his team admires its own work. Ruff is an ardent supporter of compartmentalizing: play the game, review it, digest it, celebrate or bemoan it, the, move on. Winning teams dont...
