Ryan Miller turned aside 43 shots to set a franchise regular-season record for most stops in a shutout as the visiting Buffalo Sabres skated to a 2-0 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday.
Miller recorded his fourth shutout of the season and 26th career by defeating the Ducks for the second time this season. He made 29 saves in a 4-1 win over Anaheim on Oct. 7.
Brad Boyes scored for the first time in 22 contests and Derek Roy also tallied for the Sabres, who improved to 9-3-3 in their last 15 games. Buffalo now sits five points behind the eighth-place Washington Capitals in the Eastern Conference standings.
