Buffalo Sabres defenseman Andrej Sekera signed a multi-year extension on Tuesday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it allows both sides to avoid arbitration.
Sekera collected three goals, 26 assists and 34 penalty minutes in 76 games last season.
The 25-year-old blue-liner made $1.25 million last year.
The Sabres also re-signed left wing Matt Ellis to a multi-year deal.
An unrestricted free agent, Ellis did not record a point in 14 contests last season.
