Buffalo Sabres left wing Thomas Vanek left Wednesday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers in the second period with a laceration on his face.
Vanek went to the locker room and did not return to the contest as the teams started the third period. The Sabres did not release a statement on his condition.
The 27-year-old Austrian collected eight goals, seven assists and 10 penalty minutes entering Wednesday's contest.
