You’re down 4-0 at home in the 3rd period to Northeast Division rival Montreal, and you’re looking for something, anything, to spark your team to a miraculous comeback. Sabres forward Steve Ott went the unconventional route, opting to try and lick Habs center Jeff Halpern’s visor prior to a faceoff, in an attempt to throw Halpern off his game and win the draw. Did it work? Did Ott end up winning the faceoff? Who knows, but Buffalo went down in flames 5-1 before a disappointed crowd at the First Niagara Center, who not only had to suffer the indignation of watching their beloved Sabres pretty well play themselves out of playoff contention with an embarrassing performance, but also witness Steve Ott trying to find out how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Jeff Halpern. Apparently the answer is one…one gross, wholly unsanitary lick. [The Score] The post Sabres’ Steve Ott tries licking visor of Montreal’s Jeff Halpern before faceoff appeared first on Last Angry Fan.
