Fox - The Hockey Guy:
One minute Dave Bolland is scoring the game-winning goal to secure the Stanley Cup for the Blackhawks. The next minute he is enjoying the big parade in Chicago. And then the team traded him to the Toronto Maple Leaf during Sunday’s the NHL Draft. Such is the business side of that league, where the lowered salary cap for 2013-14 forces teams to clear out valued talent.Bolland knew his time in the Windy City was short. He fell into a fourth-line role with the Blackhawks last season. Since he earns $3.375 million, he realized he was vulnerable for cap reasons. “I’m excited to come to Toronto, where my whole hockey career began,” Bolland said in a telephone interview with Toronto scribes. “And it’s exciting to put on the Maple Leafs jersey and play at the ACC in front of Toronto fans where I grew up . . . I’m pretty much at a loss for words.”Vincent Lecavalier will become a free agent July 5 after getting a salary cap compliance buyout from the Tampa Bay Lightning. Forward Daniel Briere ...

One of my favorite themes here at AA in the last year has been unearthing Finnish hockey calls. Why Finnish hockey calls? Because Finland, obviously. And because they're awesome. We've seen a couple throughout the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but this video from Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final may be my favorite foreign language clips in the history of this website. Six...
The Chicago Blackhawks signed Bryan Bickell to a four-year deal reportedly worth $16 million. That's a handsome raise for a guy with just 90 points in 220 regular season games. Apparently Chicago's focused on the nine goals and 17 points he collected in 23 postseason contests. That 18.4 shooting percentage isn't likely to stick around, but he could still be fantasy-relevant...
The best part of the Chicago Blackhawks winning the Stanley Cup will be tracking Patrick Kane and his antics this offseason. On Saturday night, he brought the Stanley Cup to a Jimmy Buffett concert and danced around on stage with a parrot hat. He even played the tambourine a bit while looking extremely drunk. It’s safe to say the return of Kaner is in full effect.
Chicago started out hot and never looked back en route to the Stanley Cup. Patrick Kane and company started the season 21-0-3 and cruised to a 36-7-5 finish and the President’s Trophy. Let’s put in our tape of Chelsea Dagger in and hum along as we look back at the champs’ season in fantasy hockey.

The Hawks, as reported by Eklund, are close on a 3 year, rumored to be $4.5 million deal with Ray Emeryâto remain in Chicago.
I'm told the Hawk strategy going in to unrestricted free agency is to look for Michal Rozsival-like veteran players to approach them (perhaps including Rozsival) on potentially cap friendly short-term dealsâwith the...
