Erik Gustafsson had a very impressive night in only his 8th career NHL game. The young Flyers defencemen was a plus six and had a point in the Flyers 9-2 rout of the Columbus Blue Jackets. The record for best plus/minus in a single game is held by Tom Bladon who was a +10 on December 11, 1977.
2. Tim Thomas- 25 Saves, Shutout
Tim Thomas made 25 saves in the 7-0 annihilation of the first place Toronto Maple Leafs.This was Thomas' first shutout of the season.
1. Tyler Seguin- 3 Goals, 3 SOG, +2
Tyler Seguin recorded his first career hat trick last night in the Bruins 7-0 win. Seguin now has 14 points in 12 games this season and leads the league in plus/minus with a +10. The 19 year old sophomore may be poised for a breakout year.
"I was a Leaf fan growing up all my life … I can't lie about that," Seguin said. "To get a hat trick against them is something pretty cool."
