Vancouver Canucks leading scorer Daniel Sedin has returned to practice after missing nine games with a concussion. Sedin was on the ice Monday before his teammates began their scheduled practice and remained with them, although there was no indication he would be ready to play when the Canucks open the playoffs Wednesday against the Los Angeles Kings. Sedin led Vancouver with 30 goals before being elbowed by Duncan Keith in a loss to Chicago on March 21. Keith was suspended five games for the hit. Vancouver closed the regular season by winning eight of nine games to finish with the league's best record with fourth-liners like Max Lapierre and Zack Kassian on the top line.

Jibblescribbits Playoff Picks - West

It's a 1st round picks column. (also, if you read this Wednesday, be sure to join my playoff pool)(1) Vancouver Vs (8) Los Angeles KingsI really like Vancouver as a team. The Sedins are great players, as is Ryan Kesler. They have a very strong 6-7 man deep defense, and a goaltending duo that rivals any in the NHL. Vancouver was the best team all season, and a worthy winner of...

Peter Tessier: Pete's Play-off Picks: Round #1

Playoffs start tonight and here are my picks for the first round. Vancouver vs LA Homerism will prevail here no matter what but this series comes down to two elements: can Vancouver's defesne withstand the pounding the large LA forwards will deliver and can Quick win the games for LA while they continue to figure out how to score? Keys to the Vancouver Canucks winning round One vs. L.A.

Can we just get going already… It’s been a long hard road, but we’ve finally arrived at Game 1 of the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs. It would be quite a shame to let the journey so far go to waste, so the Canucks better do the 5 things I’m...

Luongo And The Playoffs
