Last night the Boston Bruins took a 3-1 series lead over the Toronto Maple Leafs despite Tyler Seguin. The guy who had hockey fans in Boston frothing at the mouth like rabid skunks in 2010 has begun to reveal himself as something of, well, a dud when it comes to the playoffs. So far, against the Leafs, Seguin has 0 points. Zero goals. Zero assists. 18 shots on goal. In last nights win the Boston Bruins registered 45 shots on James Reimer. Tyler Seguin had 1 shot on goal. Compare that to his line mates Patrice Bergeron, who had a goal on seven shots, and Brad Marchand, who registered the assist on Bergeron's goal and had 3 shots on goal. Even Rich "High Glass" Peverley registered 2 shots on net last night.Seguins frustration is obvious but I simply cannot feel bad the guy. I swear if I have to watch number 19 attempt to cut to the middle and then shoot directly into Reimer's chest from the high slot one more goddamn time I'm gonna pour table salt into my right e...

JIM ROGASH/GETTY IMAGES BOSTON--  According  to a tweet from Joe Haggerty of Comcast SportsNet New England, Bruins defenseman Wade Redden will not play in tonight’s game against the Maple Leafs.  Haggerty tweeted the following earlier today. Claude said between Dougie Hamilton & Matt Bartkowski to fill in for Redden (day-to-day). Would be shocked if its not Bartkowski...

Claude Julien Calls for ‘Accountability’ From Patrice Bergeron Line As Their Struggles Continue

BOSTON — The Bruins’ line of Patrice Bergeron, Tyler Seguin and Brad Marchand was the club’s best for much of the regular season. However, since the playoffs began, that trio has gone cold. And as the Bruins find themselves heading to Game 6 in Toronto on Sunday night, it’s about time that line gets heated up again. If they don’t, it could be a big reason the B’s have...

Bruins Must Take Advantage of Tuukka Rask’s Great Play After Surviving Furious First Period (Video)

Goalies can single-handedly swing playoff series and win Stanley Cups, but they can’t do it all in one night. Tuukka Rask appears to be doing his darnedest on Thursday night, however, after a sterling first period against an obviously desperate Toronto Maple Leafs team. Rask made 19 saves in the first period of Friday’s game, some more spectacular than others. When the dust settled...

Tuukka Rask Not Among NHL’s Three Finalists for Vezina Trophy

Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask had a wonderful year. However, it wasn’t quite good enough for him to win goaltending’s biggest prize. In fact, it wasn’t even enough to get him nominated. The NHL announced its three finalists for the Vezina Trophy awarded the league’s best goaltender on Wednesday. Rask was not one of the finalists. The three finalists are New York’s Henrik Lundqvist...

So David Krejci and Tuukka Rask are awesome guys

David Krejci is awesome What a hockey game. Both teams skated their asses off and both deserved to win. In the Boston Bruins first overtime playoff game of the 2013 post-season, the fans were quickly reminded about how god awfully awesome it is to watch your team play in an overtime playoff game, and if that didn’t make sense to you then you haven’t been watching enough hockey...

Bruins Playing Game 5 on 43rd Anniversary of Bobby Orr’s Famous Stanley Cup Goal (Video)

Bruins fans entering TD Garden will likely walk by a statue outside of the arena depicting one of the most famous moments in the club’s and the league’s history. That statue of Bobby Orr‘s Stanley Cup-winning goal in 1970 has a little added meaning on Friday. That’s because Friday marks the 43-year anniversary of the Bruins legend’s Cup-winning goal against the St. Louis...

David Krejci Plays Role of Hero Again As Bruins Continue to Thrive When Forward Is Doing Well

When it comes to the playoffs, the Bruins go as David Krejci goes. He’s been one of the best players on the ice through four games in Boston’s first-round series with the Toronto Maple Leafs, and as a result, the Bruins are one game from winning the series. Krejci played another phenomenal game, and he capped it with an overtime winner — giving him a hat trick — in the Bruins’...

Game 4: A chance to fix last year’s wrongs

The Boston Bruins have a chance to essentially end their first round series tonight Leaving the Verizon Center after game 3 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals a year ago, the thing I kept saying to myself was that the Boston Bruins were going to have an opportunity to essentially end the series. After splitting the first two games of the series in Boston, the Bruins went into...

Toronto, that is the Leafs beating, puck eating, trail blazing, save raising, stronger than a bear, stronger than a buck, the biggest thing to hit Canada because THE MAPLE LEAFS SUCK!" - The Rask  Tuukkamania...

Bruins Must Keep Foot to Gas Pedal, Not Allow Maple Leafs Chance to Get Back Into Series (Video)

The Bruins have looked great in two games against the Maple Leafs and have two wins to show for it. They didn’t play well in the other game, however, and all the games count just the same in the end. That makes Wednesday night’s Game 4 all the more significant, since Toronto can knot things up at two games apiece with a win despite not looking like the better team for most of...
