Ottawa Senators center Peter Regin will miss Saturday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets due to an ailing shoulder. Regin aggravated the surgically repaired shoulder in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets. He is expected to see a second medical opinion. Senators coach Paul MacLean refused to speculate how long Regin could be sidelined. The 25-year-old Regin has a goal and two assists in five games this season.

Michalek, Sens sneak past winless Blue Jackets

OTTAWA (AP) Milan Michalek scored with 4.7 seconds remaining Saturday and the Ottawa Senators won consecutive games for the first time this season after beating the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-3.

‘Battle of the Losers’ Preview: Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Ottawa Senators

In what can easily be deemed as the Battle of the Losers tonight in the Columbus Blue Jackets (0-6-1) vs. the Ottawa Senators (2-5-0), the easiest statement going into tonight’s game is that anything can happen. With 31 goals against as a team, the Senators lead the Eastern Conference in that category, while the Columbus Blue Jackets lead the Western Conference with...

Travis Yost: Senators Coast to 4-1 Victory over the Jets at Scotiabank

Make sure to follow Travis on Twitter! -- When the Winnipeg Jets and Ottawa Senators clashed on Thursday night at Scotiabank, I was convinced of two things: One, that a team had to actually win this game. Two, that if Ottawa won, I'd be able to write about their victory without using the word 'grounded'. The 4-1 victory over the Jets should give a young clubhouse...

Milan Michalek and Jason Spezza each had a goal and an assist in the second period to give Ottawa its first lead at the end of a period this season, and the Senators went on to beat the Winnipeg Jets 4-1 on Thursday night. Daniel Alfredsson scored in the third and Michalek scored his second of the game into an empty net as Spezza also finished with three points with his second assist.

Travis Yost: Gameday: Senators Host Reeling Blue Jackets

Make sure to follow Travis on Twitter! -- Coming off of an impressive 4-1 victory against the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night, the Ottawa Senators will again try to protect home ice on Hockey Night in Canada against a winless Columbus Blue Jackets club. The Ottawa Senators aren't going to be projected to win a ton of hockey games this year, but I'd argue that tonight...

Blue Jackets-Senators Preview

While both of their victories this season have come after overcoming first-period deficits, the Ottawa Senators would prefer not playing catch-up. They might not have to worry about that with the NHL's only winless team coming to town. Ottawa tries to win two straight for the first time this season Saturday night when it faces a Columbus Blue Jackets team off to its worst start...

A Much Needed Win

A few notes on last night’s game: a win’s a good thing, Alfie’s in great shape, it’s good to see the Jets come back to the league and while Anderson has bounced back, there will always be a question mark hovering around him this season and that doesn’t inspire any confidence in me. While I admit that I didn’t get home in time to watch the entire game, I will say a few...
