Ottawa forward and the NHL's goal-scoring leader Milan Michalek sustained an upper body injury and will not return for the remainder of the Senators' game against the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday night. Michalek was hurt in a collision with teammate Erik Carlson with about 5 1/2 minutes left in the second period. Michalek scored his 19th goal 1:09 into the game. The Senators had no update except to announce shortly after the third period began that Michalek would not return. Michalek has already scored on more goal than all of last season, and is seven shy of matching his career high set in 2006-07 with San Jose.

This afternoon the Ottawa Senators confirmed that Milan Michalek will be out indefinitely with a concussion. Pick Six: Thursday December 15

I have plenty of choices for the headline for this edition of the Pick Six. The concussion epidemic? Already covered it, although you can add Milan Michalek, Jeff Skinner, and Joni Pitkanen to the growing list. The first episode of 24/7? Haven’t watched it yet, although I’ve saved it on the PVR and plan to watch it ASAP. The classy comment from Dave Bolland? Sure, I have an...
