A couple weeks ago, Daniel Alfredsson, longtime captain of the Ottawa Senators, announced his intentions to return to the NHL, after there was some speculation the 40-year-old Swedish winger was going to retire.
Well, according to a report from TSN, he will be coming back- but not with the Senators...
The rumors that have been circulating all morning are now confirmed, former Ottawa Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson has signed on to play with the Red Wings for the 2013-14 season.
The deal according to TSN is a one-year deal for $3.5 million dollars. There is also a chance the 40-year old right winger could earn an extra $2 million in bonuses.
