Sens name new Assistant Coach to a very 'green' staff

Howdy from a rainy Ottawa. Oh and I didn't mean 'green' as in enviromentally friendly. Though the Sens coaching staff must be friendly in the pocket book for our great owner. Sens announced today the hiring of Brad Lauer as Asst. Coach to Cory Clouston. They previously worked together for 5 seasons with the Kootenay Ice of the WHL. Lauer, a Sens forward in '93-94 who scored 7 pts. in 30 games, has never been an NHL coach and prior to this job had only served two seasons in the AHL as an assistant. Brad joins Greg Carvel, Luke Richardson, Tim Pattyson and Eli Wilson among Ottawa's coaching staff for this coming season. Very inexperienced group at the NHL level don't ya think? Differences with the coaching staff are the main reasons Heatley is on the outs and what people point to when they talk about Alex Kovavlev's poorer on-ice performances. Maybe the thinking is the Sens locker room has been cleaned of any trouble makers? Though if that's the case...
