The play of the game in Nashville's 5-2 win over Chicago came late in the second period when Mike Fisher sent a pass to Sergei Kostitsyn who drove in one on one against Blackhawks goalie, Cory Crawford.

Kostitsyn showed great patience by waiting for Crawford to commit and then shooting at an almost open net  from a sharp angle to put the Preds up 4-1. Crawford was replaced by Ray Emery after the goal.

Kostitsyn gave full credit to Preds' goalie coach Mich Korn, "Our goal coach showed us video before the game so I kind of know what he's going to do so I try to do what other people that scored on him did."

Kostitsyn also had an assist on Craig Smith's power play goal in the opening period. He also connected on another goal earlier in the contest that was disallowed due to having been played with a high stick.

Kostitsyn has now scored seven goals on ten shots during the month of January and has 12 goals and 14 assists for the season.
