Marleau scores twice as Sharks rally past Flames
CALGARY -- Patrick Marleau was the target of a caustic profile on a Calgary radio station in days leading up to the start of the NHL season. The San Jose Sharks forward was mocked for his reputation of not being a big-game player for a team that has failed repeatedly to live up to Stanley Cup-championship expectations. Marleau got the last laugh Sunday, scoring twice in the Sharks...

Sharks here and there
Where are the Sharks? Of course they are in Calgary, about to play a game.
But where do they stand now, with camp all wrapped up? It might have something to do with where they have been. I asked several players over the course of the week about the pros and cons of playing overseas during the lockout. There seems to be a consensus from observers, myself included, that those...

Cam Gore: Sharks at Calgary preview
The San Jose Sharks and the Calgary Flames start their season off this afternoon in Cow town. The puck drops at three and these two teams are in similar situations.
Both teams underachieved last season and the Flames didnât make the playoffs. The Sharks found their way into the spring dance only to bow out in the first round. That was then, and this is now and a good start...
The NHL is Back!
Let the Teal Wookie Win
Hockey never left, but the NHL sure did. Now we suddenly find ourselves faced with 13 games on today's docket, not one of which features the Sharks. They start Sunday, just in time to conflict with the NFC Championship game features the 49ers. That won't have any impact on ratings at all!
Ok, so it's not ideal, but those of us who...
