The San Jose Sharks announced Friday the re-signing of forwards Bracken Kearns and Marek Viedensky to one-year contracts. Terms were not disclosed.
Kearns 32 played in one regular-season and seven postseason games for San Jose in 2012-13. Kearns played in 66 games with the Worcester Sharks in the American Hockey League finishing first on the team with 46 points (21 goals 25 assists). Along with leading the team in overall point-scoring Kearns posted team-leading totals in goals assists and power-play goals (11).
Kearns has played in six career NHL games with San Jose and the Florida Panthers recording 10 penalty minutes. In 473 career AHL games Kearns has registered 266 points (110 goals 156 assists) and 496 penalty minutes.
