Sharks sign 3 players: Mitchell, Ferriero, Staubitz

The San Jose Sharks signed free-agent forward Torrey Mitchell to a three-year contract. The team also announced Tuesday it signed restricted free agent forward Brad Staubitz to a one-year contract and center Benn Ferriero to a two-year deal. Mitchell missed the 2008-09 regular season with a broken leg but came back to play four games in a first-round playoff loss to Anaheim. Mitchell has 10 goals and 10 assists in 82 career games.
