Five months after suffering a career-threatening concussion, Kings' forward Simon Gagne is expected to return to the lineup for Game 3 against the New Jersey Devils in the Stanley Cup Final. Game 3 is tonight at Staples Center and the Kings have a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. Fourth-line forward Brad Richardson looks to be the odd-man out but not because of an injury. He has looked, at times, overmatched in the first two games of the series. The Kings' power play has struggled the entire playoffs, going six for 77. Gagne's return is a stunning development on many levels. The 32-year-old suffered a concussion on Dec. 26 against Phoenix and there were signs his playing future was in jeopardy because of lingering symptoms. Kings Coach Darryl Sutter had consistently downplayed the chance of Gagne returning and even said on April 19 that he wasn't sure Gagne was even in North America. Sutter humor aside ...
