If Craig Smith didn’t have a roster spot locked up before tonight, he does now.With 10.3 seconds remaining in overtime, Smith finished off a relentless shift with his first goal of the preseason, giving the Predators a 2-1 victory over the Hurricanes on Saturday night.“I really was (relieved),” Smith said after the game. “I had a lot of good chances playing with good players.
