NORMAN, Okla. — The Sooners led all game one and held on, then fell behind and stormed back to victory in miraculous, extra-inning fashion in game two to sweep Saturday’s twin bill against the Hofstra Pride at L. Dale Mitchell Park, moving to 3-0 on the young season.

Gary Simon and Marquis Anderson are ex-Sooners.

Oklahoma's roster contracted slightly over the weekend.  A spokesman for the football program confirmed reports that cornerback Gary Simon and redshirt freshman defensive tackle Marquis Anderson were no longer members of the team. Defensive tackle Damon Williams has also reportedly left the team, but that has not been confirmed. (via The Oklahoman)

The Sooners used a furious run to close out the first half and never trailed in the second half but still couldn’t escape Gallagher-Iba Arena victoriously Saturday afternoon, falling to in-state Bedlam rival Oklahoma State 84-79 in overtime.

Hornbeak ready to step up in Hield's absence
