The St. Louis Blues have the most points in the NHL - and one of the reasons they can credit for that success is an impressive penalty kill.
St. Louis went 8-for-8 on the penalty during Sunday's 2-1 triumph over the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Blues (45-18-7, 97 points) have gone 14 contests without yielding a power-play goal, successfully extinguishing 47 straight infractions.
After allowing goals with the man advantage at an alarming rate to start the season, St. Louis is now tied for seventh in the league in penalty kill (84.5 percent).
Coach Ken Hitchcock's club kicked off its season-high seven-game road trip with its fifth straight victory. St. Louis will visit the Central Division rival Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday.
