DON'T BE RIDICULOUS!
Thanks to Benson for sending over his latest. About 2 months ago, we watched as he mashed the Steelers with the Family Matters theme. Now it's the Pens' Sid and Geno as Perfect Strangers. TGIF IS BACK BABY!
I can't wait for what goes with Step By Step in the future. Christine Lakin, one of my all-time crushes, needs to be in it as she appears today. I'll gladly...
Penguins coach Dan Bylsma said Jordan Staal sustained a lower-body injury Thursday in Philadelphia and is listed as day-to-day.
via Sam Kasan of the Penguins website, Head coach Dan Bylsma just announced that Jordan Staal is out tonight vs. the Islanders. He is day to day with a lower-body injury. Jason Williams will be called up from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
Bylsma also said that Deryk Engelland is back in the lineup tonight after missing the last two games with a lower-body injury. Richard Park is still...
When the Flyers signed Jaromir Jagr on July 1, the collective outrage from both fans and the media of the Pittsburgh Penguins was through the roof. Like jilted ex-girlfriends, the prevailing attitude directed towards the former Penguin was that of “Well, we didn’t want you anyway.”

Here is Zac Rinaldo targetting Robert Bortuzzo's head.
So far Rinaldo has not faced the league and most likely he won't. Apparently King Shanaban is too making out with himself to care.
So what happened?
Here's all you need to know - the Pens were down 2-0 in the first period, continuing their recent habit of getting behind early in games. They were facing lesser competition this time and were able to turn the tide. The game itself was a bit too wide-open in that the Pens and Isles both allowed odd-man chances, and the Isles were successful in keeping...
James Neal scored twice, and Pascal Dupuis had the go-ahead goal with 4:02 left in the second period to help the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the New York Islanders 6-3 on Saturday night.
Steve Sullivan, Matt Cooke and Paul Martin added goals for the Penguins, who snapped a two-game losing streak. David Ullstrom, Milan Jurcina and Kyle Okposo scored for New York.
For much of his career, Deryk Engelland was a name on his organization's depth chart. And nowhere near the top of it. Over the past couple of seasons, he has developed into a capable No. 5 or 6 defenseman for the Penguins, established himself as a reliable contributor at this level.
Falling behind by two goals on the road without Sidney Crosby, Jordan Staal and Kris Letang in the lineup isn't normally a recipe for success. The Penguins, though, typically thrive under adversity and did so again Saturday.
Penguins 6, Isles 3
James Neal scored two goals as the Pittsburgh Penguins rallied from 2-0 and 3-2 deficits to defeat the Islanders 6-3 in front of 15,638 at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The loss is the Islanders fi...
Now is the time, if Ray Shero wants to truly realize the full value of what already looks like a steal of a deal, to extend James Neal’s contract.

I don’t know why the Penguins think they can play 20-30 minutes a night and beat good teams. But that’s what they tried to do against the Flyers, and they failed. Enough about the Broad St. Bastards though. Who: Pittsburgh Penguins (16-9-4) vs. New York Islanders (9-11-6) Where: Nassau Colliseum When: 7:00 PM EST Channel: [...]

Why does it matter?
The Pens will need to get used to the Life Without Sidney Crosby game yet again. The Captain is out indefinitely with concussion-like symptoms. They also...
