According to the Rangers, Marc Staal, Wojtek Wolski and Mike Rupp -- all currently on injured reserve -- have made the trip to Florida with the team. For Staal, this is the first trip he has made since being sidelined, and the same goes for Wolski and Rupp, but they have obviously been kept home due to surgery.
The Rangers haven't made any other statements on these players, so I'm thinking the only reason they made the trip is so that they can continue to practice with the team, or in Staal's case, workout with the team.
I don't want to look too far into this news, but it's good to hear at the very least. I think, in one way or another, each player serves a purpose that the Blueshirts are missing right now, despite their recent success. This especially applies to Marc Staal, who is a top three player on this team.
