DALLAS -- Jaromir Jagr's shootout goal was the difference for the Dallas Stars in a 4-3 win over the Phoenix Coyotes, ending a four-game losing streak by the Stars. Phoenix goaltender Mike Smith got a glove on Jagr's shot but it still landed in the back of the Dallas net. Dallas (3-4-1) had taken a 2-0 lead in the first period after Antoine Roussel, who was making his NHL debut, scored the first goal of his career midway through the period, beating Smith with a backhand over his left shoulder. Stars rookie defenseman Brenden Dillon added the first goal of his career two minutes later with an unassisted score, blasting a 58-foot slapshot that deflected off the Coyotes' Derek Morris before landing in the net. However, Phoenix's Radim Vrbata cut the Dallas lead to 2-1 with six minutes left in the first period.
