Dallas Stars captain Brenden Morrow exited Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets with a knee injury.
Morrow was injured in the second period after he was hit by the puck on his left knee. He attempted to return in the third, but played on only one shift and retreated to the locker room.
The 32-year-old Morrow did not return to the contest and will be re-evaluated on Friday. Morrow wasn't immediately certain if he'll be able to play in Saturday's game against the Boston Bruins.
"I know it's a big game, so it's going to take something serious to keep me out of it," Morrow said. "That being said, I don't know how serious this is. It's on my knee, a knee that has given me problems this year and the MCL is a big factor in skating stride, but we'll do our best to try to maintain it and keep the swelling down and hopefully be ready."
Morrow has collected seven goals, 10 assists and 63 penalty minutes in 30 games this season.
