The Dallas Stars have placed veteran defenseman Sheldon Souray on injured reserve with a sprained ankle.Souray suffered the injury just before the holiday break, and hasn't returned to action since.The 35-year-old has four goals and 12 assists in 34 games so far this season. He joins fellow veteran blueliner Stephane Robidas (foot) on IR for the suddenly shorthanded Stars.Dallas recalled defenseman Brenden Dillion from the club's American Hockey League affiliate to take Souray's roster spot.He's the second blueliner recalled in two days following the promotion of Jordie Benn on New Year's Day.
