Steven Stamkos had a 2011-12 season for the record books, leading the league with 60 goals in 82 games. Remarkably, he finished 10 goals ahead of the second-best scorer, Pittsburgh's Evgeni Malkin. How has Stamkos followed up his extremely impressive 60-goal effort? By scoring at a higher rate in 2013, of course.  Stamkos recently scored his 20th goal of the year in a game against the Florida Panthers. The goal came in his 26th game, making him the quickest player to reach 20 goals in 2013. Amazingly, Stamkos is off to a better start in 2013 than he was when he tallied 60 goals a year ago. It took the Tampa Bay Lightning forward 32 games to reach the 20-goal plateau in 2011-12.  Thanks to the lockout and a condensed season, we won't know if Stamkos could match or break his 60-goal mark from a year ago. Thankfully, Stamkos is still in the early stages of his career. Despite playing in his 5th NHL season, Stamkos is just 23 years old.
