Found January 17, 2013 on The Pensblog:
Around the middle of December, Jeremy Roenick apparently came out with some book about his existence.  We aren't even sure if this already made the rounds during the lockout, but old friend @tawm23 directed us to a Reddit page that has a screenshot of the first paragraph of Roenick's new book: Wow.

Official team photo of Brent Burns is fantastic

The homeless-looking man you see in that picture is Sharks defenseman Brent Burns. Some players might come into camp out of shape or overweight after having no hockey action for over six months. That’s going to be the case for a bunch of guys this season. But it might be safe to say no other player will be reuniting with his team with a hibernating bear on his face like Burns...

Sharks D Brent Burns might have lived under a bridge during the lockout (photo)

Good Lord, man! Someone in the San Jose Sharks organization needs to get defenseman Brent Burns an appointment with a barber. Or get him a hot shower. Or at the very least, a rag on a stick, for Pete’s sake! Obviously, Brent Burns was letting it all hang out during the lockout, as evidence by his disheveled appearance in his team photo. Look at the unkempt hair, the out-of-control...

Sharks F Sheppard, D Petrecki re-sign

The San Jose Sharks are bringing back forward James Sheppard and defenseman Nick Petrecki on one-year contracts. The Sharks announced both deals Friday, one day before the start of the NHL season. Sheppard has played 34 games this season with Worcester of the AHL with eight goals and 15 assists. In 224 career NHL games with Minnesota, Sheppard has 11 goals and 38 assists. He was...

Sharks made few changes after playoff flop

The San Jose Sharks responded to their quickest playoff exit in a run of eight straight postseason appearances with tinkering instead of a roster overhaul. There will be some changes on the third and fourth lines as the Sharks plan to take a look at some younger players and former first-round pick Brad Stuart is back on defense seven years after being traded away. But the core...

Sharks defenseman Brent Burns may actually be the Missing Link

The NHL lockout seems to have affected some players more deeply than others, both emotionally and financially, as it appears Sharks defenseman Brent Burns ran out of money to buy the necessities like razors, shaving cream, and a comb before the Sharks official team photoshoot. Either that or Burns is trying to make 2013 the year of the Cro-Magnon surfer dude, which I can totally...

Sharks are back, so they treated us to a new funny commercial (Video)

Usually when Sharks season rolls around, you can count on seeing some funny TV commercials for the team flood the local airwaves. There was one where Joe Thornton was a ventriloquist. There was another where the Sharks pretended to be shopping network salesmen. Another notable one had Logan Couture as a pizza delivery boy, which wasn’t as creepy or filled with sexual innuendo...

Squatch Watch

Brent Burns has finally reported to Sharks camp after spending the lockout at Burning Man. He also restructured his contract with the Sharks to include a no trade clause, because he "totes loves it in the Bay Area, man". The clause isn't complete, allowing for trades to Vancouver, Colorado or "the moon, because that would be frickin' rad" *h/t to Puck Daddy
