Forward Brandon Sutter and defenseman Jamie McBain have been assigned to the Albany River Rats of the AHL, the Canes announced Sunday, reducing the roster to 23. The decision to send down Sutter and McBain should indicate that the Canes plan to keep Tim Conboy and Jay Harrison on the regular-season roster. Forward Michael Ryan has been sidelined with a concussion suffered Monday against Atlanta.
