PLAYERS: Jaromir Jagr
TEAMS: Boston Bruins
from Pierre LeBrun of ESPN, I looked down from the press box Monday night during the national anthems, an electric atmosphere rocking Air Canada Centre before Game 3. I wondered in particular what was going through Jaromir Jagr's mind. I was picturing the future Hall of Famer soaking it all in, wanting to make sure he enjoyed these types of moments as his spectacular career nears its final few laps. And I was right. "It's funny you ask me the question," Jagr said. "I was actually thinking about it during the national anthem. I'm not going to play many more games. Hopefully I might play a year, maybe two. I would love to. … "It was pretty special, especially in Toronto and Canada where people love hockey so much. Even in our city in Boston. It's something you have to enjoy. It's special. It's kind of an extra bonus for a hockey player just to be part of that." continued

Jaromir Jagr, Bruins’ Third Line Break Out, Making Bruins’ Deep Lineup Even More Effective

The Bruins’ third line has been a revolving door of forwards, both young and old, rookie and veteran, all season long. And while the names and players have changed along the way, the B’s have been getting the same result for just about the entire season — not much of anything. So it was a more than welcomed sight for the Bruins to see the third line break out in Game 3 of the...

Tuukka Rask Not Among NHL’s Three Finalists for Vezina Trophy

Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask had a wonderful year. However, it wasn’t quite good enough for him to win goaltending’s biggest prize. In fact, it wasn’t even enough to get him nominated. The NHL announced its three finalists for the Vezina Trophy awarded the league’s best goaltender on Wednesday. Rask was not one of the finalists. The three finalists are New York’s Henrik Lundqvist...

So David Krejci and Tuukka Rask are awesome guys

David Krejci is awesome What a hockey game. Both teams skated their asses off and both deserved to win. In the Boston Bruins first overtime playoff game of the 2013 post-season, the fans were quickly reminded about how god awfully awesome it is to watch your team play in an overtime playoff game, and if that didn’t make sense to you then you haven’t been watching enough hockey...

Bruins top Leafs on Krejci hat trick

David Krejci scored his third goal of the night at 13:06 of overtime Wednesday, giving the Boston Bruins a 4-3 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs and a 3-1 lead in their playoff series. Krejci beat James Reimer with a shot from the faceoff circle after coming down the left wing. The Bruins are 15-2 when leading a best-of-seven series 3-1. And Toronto is 2-12-1 in its last 15 games...

David Krejci Plays Role of Hero Again As Bruins Continue to Thrive When Forward Is Doing Well

When it comes to the playoffs, the Bruins go as David Krejci goes. He’s been one of the best players on the ice through four games in Boston’s first-round series with the Toronto Maple Leafs, and as a result, the Bruins are one game from winning the series. Krejci played another phenomenal game, and he capped it with an overtime winner — giving him a hat trick — in the Bruins’...

Nathan Horton, Daniel Paille Goals Highlight Memorable Images From Bruins’ Game 3 Win Over Maple Leafs

That was more like it. The Bruins got back in rhythm on Monday, getting things started with a goal by Adam McQuaid and capping things off with an empty netter by David Krejci in a convincing 5-2 win over the Maple Leafs. The victory gave the Bruins a 2-1 lead in their opening-round series with Toronto, and once again showed what the B’s are capable of when they are on their game...

David Krejci’s ‘Heart Attack Hat Trick’ Powers Bruins Past Maple Leafs in Exciting Overtime Win (Video)

David Krejci is no stranger to playoff heroics, and Wednesday night’s effort might appear to be just another day at the office for the Czech center. Then again, try telling that to the still-racing pulses of the fans who watched the Bruins beat the Maple Leafs in one of the most exciting games all year. Krejci’s game-winning goal just so happened to be his third of the night...

Bruins Plan to Take Advantage of Leafs’ Breakdowns, Keep Consistency in Game 4 (Video)

The Bruins captured Game 3 of their Stanley Cup Playoff series against the Maple Leafs in dominating fashion on Tuesday after capitalizing on Leafs turnovers. The Bruins had an off day on Tuesday, but the game plan stays the same for Wednesday’s Game 4 matchup in Toronto. Dennis Seidenberg told reporters that come playoff time, it’s all about playing consistent hockey and taking...

Boston Bruins beat Maple Leafs in Toronto for game 3

Toronto had waited nine years between hosting playoff games.  They'll have to wait at least couple more days to get a win. Despite Air Canada Centre rocking for the first ten minutes of a game that started with a frenetic pace, it was deflated 13:42 into the first after David Krejci won a faceoff back to Milan Lucic who poked it along to Adam McQuaid at the point.  Quaider...

Bruins Getting Chances Against James Reimer Early But Must Pounce Before Goaltender Gains Confidence (Video)

The Bruins have a bit of a hole to dig themselves out of in Game 4, but it’s not due to a lack of scoring chances. Boston had 15 shots in the first period against James Reimer and the Leafs, but weren’t able to find the back of the net on any of them. That left them with a 2-0 deficit, and a Catch-22 proposition for the offense. How can they keep peppering a visibly shaky Reimer...

Game 4: A chance to fix last year’s wrongs

The Boston Bruins have a chance to essentially end their first round series tonight Leaving the Verizon Center after game 3 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals a year ago, the thing I kept saying to myself was that the Boston Bruins were going to have an opportunity to essentially end the series. After splitting the first two games of the series in Boston, the Bruins went into...

Bruins Must Keep Foot to Gas Pedal, Not Allow Maple Leafs Chance to Get Back Into Series (Video)

The Bruins have looked great in two games against the Maple Leafs and have two wins to show for it. They didn’t play well in the other game, however, and all the games count just the same in the end. That makes Wednesday night’s Game 4 all the more significant, since Toronto can knot things up at two games apiece with a win despite not looking like the better team for most of...
