Ray Shero tied up some loose ends by re-signing a few players today. From the Penguins' official website:
All four players received two-way deals. Tangradi’s contract is worth $726,000 at the NHL level; Strait will earn $605,000 at the NHL level; Bortuzzo’s and Grant’s deals are both worth $525,000 at the NHL level.
Tangradi, Strait and Bortuzzo all saw NHL ice last season. The three players have one NHL goal between them, but they give the Pens some depth in case of injuries and retain some talent in WBS. The Penguins defensive depth is deeper than the Grand Canyon right now.
It feels like Tangradi may play most of the season in the NHL this year... if there's a season that is.
