The Blackhawks' 24-game unbeaten streak is over, and they lost to the most dangerous opponent of all--a second chance. The Blackhawks surrendered 4 second-period goals en route to a 6-4 loss to the Colorado Avalanche, dropping the back half of a home-and-home series with the Avs.

The Chicago Blackhawks' record for the best start in NHL history is over at 24 games after a 6-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Friday night.
Playing their third game in four nights, the Blackhawks finally were beaten in regulation after going 21-0-3. They went through the first half of the lockout-shortened schedule earning a point in every game.
Their string of 30 games without a regulation loss dating back to last season also was snapped.
Matt Duchene had a goal and three assists for Colorado, which lost at Chicago on Wednesday night.
