I really have now words for the game I watched last night. After the first period, we all thought the game was over - and apparently so did the Bruins. Yes, one can totally blame the referee for making a horrible call on Bergeron's "Delay of Game" penalty, but the Bruins shouldn't have put themselves in that position to begin with.  But then I got nothing. Gutting loss really.  - Milan Lucic has been a monster this early season. He's leading the team in goals with 7 and he's been playing all three zones really well. Basically, Milan Lucic woke up and realized he needed to be the man in Boston. He's making $6M this season, which the highest among all Bruins forwards, and he's earning it.  Last night Lucic had another goal (one was credited to Iginla) and once again pushed himself around, making space for the other guys. He's moving his feet too, which is a big part of his game. If he can get that frame moving...

While the veteran acknowledged that the big move...

Berkshire Bank Rewind: First Line in Right Places Leads to Milan Lucic’s Breakaway Goal (Video)

The Bruins’ first line continues to impress. (Photo: Barry Chin/Boston Globe) Despite Thursday’s miraculous win over the San Jose Sharks who dictated the pace of most of the game and Saturday’s tough loss to the New Jersey Devils in the last two minutes of the game, the Bruins have shown much improvement and high hopes for the future of the team this season. Penalties plagued the Bruins in the final moments of Saturday’s game against the Devils, allowing New Jersey to claw their way back into the game and eventually pull off the come-from-behind victory. All four of the Devils’ goals came on the power play, with two of them coming late in the third period. After Torey Krug earned a four-minute penalty for high-sticking, Patrice Bergeron...

Jarome Iginla comes to life for Boston Bruins

With Loui Eriksson sidelined indefinitely, this would be a great time for Jarome Iginla to step up his offensive game for the Boston Bruins.Iginla has a goal and three assists in his last three games working with center David Krejci and winger Milan Lucic. That line has produced eighth goals, 17 assists and a plus-17 rating.“It’s been longer than I would’ve liked, but it sure...

Boston Bruins: Last Two Weeks By The Numbers For 10/26/13

Much like last season, the Bruins are off to a solid start, winning seven of their first nine games and having one of the best scoring defenses and penalty kills in the league. Jarome Iginla fond of short stint with Pens

As far as return engagements that pull at the heartstrings, Jarome Iginla’s trip to Pittsburgh to face the Penguins tomorrow night won’t really compare to the homecoming he’ll receive on Dec. 10 in Calgary, where he played the first 151⁄2 seasons of his NHL career. But the fact of the matter is only five months ago, the Bruins right winger was wearing a different black...
