Yesterday, we asked you, the fans, who you did or did not want the Flyers to play in Round 2 of the 2012 NHL Playoffs. We promised that we would post our favorite comments onto the site in an article just like this one. We were originally going to post one unique comment per team, but we figured we would put as many as we could.

These comments were mainly from yesterday before the Capitals/Bruins Game 7.  With the Capitals win, the Flyers will not be able to play the New York Rangers in Round 2 (if they are able to beat the Senators tonight).  Although the Rangers are no longer a possibility, there is still a chance that we can play any of the other remaining teams. So who did the fans want, or not want, to play?

Here it is, some of our favorite comments, even one from Brian Startare himself:
Kevin Bors said: Based on our season series with everybody, and the fact playing Rangers, Bruins, and Devils would require them winning their series (something which I really don't want to happen). That leaves Panthers, Capitals, and Senators. We have equal regular season records against Panthers and Capitals, 3-1-0, and although Panthers have worse overall record (wins vs. all losses combined), they would have home-ice advantage. And I know, away teams, I believe, actually have a better record this playoffs, but I would still want that home-ice advantage. So, I guess this means I want to play the Capitals. Plus, I would thoroughly enjoy knocking Ovechkin out of the playoffs.   Tony T said: I will probably be in the minority here but I want to see the Flyers play the New York Rangers. To be the best you have to beat the best. I would think from a personal pride standpoint the Flyers players want another crack this season at the Rangers. There is no way they are that much better than the Flyers. I want to see them play again this season. As a long time Philadelphia sports fan I love it when we beat teams from New York in any sport. New York teams to me have always had an arrogant sense of entitlement. It's always sweet to give them a nice dose of humility. Bring on the Rangers!   Shannahammer said: Florida! Paul said: I want the flyers to either play florida, washington, or ottawa   Brian Startare says: @brianstartare: Order of preference: florida. New
Jersey. Washington. Boston. Ottawa. New York Tim says: Rangers. Then the Bruins. To be the best, you have to beat the best. How sweet would it be to win a cup after going through Pittsburgh, Boston, and New York? Bring ‘em on!  @juliegray22: it doesn’t matter, you play the team in front of you. #1SeriesatATime @DXFlyers: The New Jersey Devils. Brodeur has been playing like ass and their offense is not on all cylinders on the scoreboard. @flyersfan124: Avoid Rangers/Bruin, if possible.---I want the Flyers to play Florida or Ottawa! @Steelnyc: To be the best you have to beat the best @barrsbar: I think the #Flyers would do well against florida in the second round but the playoffs ride on bryz stepping up like #game6

There you have it, the public spoke and Florida was the fan favorite (opponent). We want to thank all of those who commented on our post, and if we didn't get to your comment, we sincerely apologize.

Special thanks to Brain Startare, and to everyone else who commented. Thanks again and enjoy the two Game 7's tonight.
