League sources tell the Ottawa Sun that Tampa Bay's Brad Richards is being shopped as of this draft weekend. This could be in large part true due to the signing of centre Chris Gratton last week. GM Jay Feaster knows that he has cap trouble with both Vincent Lecavalier, Martin St.Louis, Richards and Dan Boyle, and getting rid of him will be huge. But to where? Chicago seemed reasonable as they have the number one pick in this year's entry draft, but with their newly speculated intentions to keep the pick, the Windy City chances of picking up Richards have probably blown away. Philly and Phoenix have been mentioned repeatedly, but it looks like Philly have already made their move (Timonen and Hartnell), and Phoenix can't waste valuable cap space on Richards, because they have some solid prospects and don't want to waste money on one player. With that being said, Phoenix will likely look elsewhere to find their players. Teams who could use him are Dallas, Florida or Washington. So yet again, these crazy rumors in the past regarding these Lightning stars will continue to flow, but not being true.
