Following the 2004-2005 lockout, the NHL's biggest goal was to increase scoring, no pun intended. One of the methods used to achieve this goal was to shrink the size of goalie equipment. The NHL has decreased goalie equipment 15 percent since the return from the lockout. This off-season the NHL could be looking to decrease that goalie equipment even more. AccuScore NHL analyst Tim Williams takes a look at a few reasons why this could be a bad move.
