Scott Hartnell is on a tear since being moved to the first line and just had a five-game point streak where he tallied ten-points, but I think it is time for the Philadelphia Flyers to ship him right now. Now before I get started I know he has a no-trade clause (someone tell me why he has one) but I am sure you could get him to waive it.  At the very least he will give you a short list of teams that he would approve a trade to, because why would you want to keep playing on a team that wants to trade you. Hartnell has a history of getting not just cold at times but ice cold.  Take a look at last year towards the end of the season in 18 games he only tallied five-points and didn’t score in 15 of those games.  Most people now forget during the Flyers cup run in 2009-2010 that he has a horrible final 12 games in the regular season only having three-points.  Also, the start of 2007-2008 season in the first 19 games Hartnell had four-points. I know a lot of people will not want that...

That’s NOT Hockey

I realize that the name of this blog is Talk’n Hawks, and normally that is all that I do. However, while just watching the Tampa Bay Lightening against the Philadelphia Flyers, (on Versus) I saw something that made me sick. Tampa Bay went into a VERY passive 1-3-1 defense. By passive, I mean that the closest player was almost at center ice. To combat this, the Flyers defensemen...
