For just a minute, let’s try and ignore the gaffe by Michael Del Zotto in the first period of Wednesday’s loss that gave the Capitals a 1-0 lead. Any defenseman is prone to mistakes like that, but Del Zotto’s high volume of critics won’t acknowledge how well DZ has actually played this season.
