The Canes ended their postseason run in a 4-1 loss to the Penguins, allowing them to sweep the series.Not the best of games. It started out well, with Eric Staal quickly scoring the first goal. (Remember, the Canes had won every game that he scored in... up until this one. Talk about giving us Caniacs false hopes...). Then, our defense repeatedly let us down and the Canes never got on the scoresheet again.And, seriously, the second goal by the Pens nearly made me cry. Cam? Where the heck were you this series? The Cam Ward of rounds 1 & 2 would have never let that one slide...This was just a series I would like to forget. There really was no good play in it (excepting Chad LaRose - he looked like the only one who remembered the previous two series).And I, on the behalf of the Carolina Hurricanes, would like to apologize to the rest of the NHL fanbase who will now be subjected to a Penguins-Red Wings Stanley Cup Final (barring anything crazy happening in the West).
