from Jeff Z. Klein of Slap Shot, There was bad news and good news for the Rangers’ injury-riddled defensive corps Monday. The bad news: Steve Eminger will be out 8 to 10 weeks while recuperating from a separated right shoulder sustained in Saturday’s 3-2 victory in Phoenix. More bad news: Jeff Woywitka was unable to practice Monday after being struck in the ankle with a shot later in that game and may not be ready to face the Devils on Tuesday in Newark. The good news: Marc Staal, who has missed the entire season with concussion symptoms, practiced and said he expected to be cleared for contact “in a few days.” continued

Jan Levine: Game 30: NYR 3 PHX 2, Gabby, Biron & Richards Step Up, Shorthanded D

Saturday's win over Phoenix, as thrilling as it was, is now a faded memory given the issues on the blue line for the Rangers. During...
