The White House

On a whim I requested a press pass for the Pittsburgh Penguins ceremony at the White House. To my pleasant surprise, my request was honored. So yesterday afternoon, I put on my new suit for the first time and trekked over to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to take my place as a member of the press corps. The first thing I learned is that when you’re “covering” an event involving the POTUS, you wait around. A lot. There was waiting on the South Lawn while staffers debated whether or not to move the event inside.
