2011 was a historic and exciting year for Bruins’ netminder Tim Thomas, a year that saw him collect the Vezina Trophy, the Conn Smythe Trophy, and the Stanley Cup. 2012 has started out just as well for Thomas. Just a day after he saved 30 of 31 shots against the New Jersey Devils en route to his 17th victory of the season, Thomas won the NHL fan ballot and was voted into the All Star game in Ottawa. Thomas is 17-6-0 this season with a .940 save percentage, second only to his teammate, Tuukka Rask, and a 1.90 goals against average, good for third in the NHL behind Rask and Brian Elliot of St. Louis. Thomas garnered 626,540 votes, finishing well ahead of James Reimer of Toronto, who came in second.
