3. Ilya Bryzgalov
A .895 SP% certainly does not deserve a 9 year contract worth 51 million. Ilya Bryzgalov has been a big disappointment for the Philadelphia Flyers so far this season, who made major moves just to sign the goaltender in the off-season. Among goaltenders, Bryzgalov has the highest salary this season at 10 million. His cap hit ranks 6th in the goalie column at 5.66 million. The Flyers might still be 6th right now, but play like this from their netminder won't get them very far. Not as far as Jeff Carter and Mike Richards got them for sure.

2. Eric Staal
It's hard to believe that Eric Staal has the worst plus/minus rating in the NHL at -16. The Hurricanes captain is on pace for only 27 points. That's 49 points less than what he got last year. This is the same player who recorded 100 points in just his second NHL season in 2006.

1. The Columbus Blue Jackets
After the Columbus Blue Jackets acquired star Jeff Carter in a blockbuster deal and defencemen James Wisniewski via free agency in the off-season, they looked like they were set to make a serious run for the playoffs. Nash finally had a worthy linemate and  Wisniewski had strengthened the blueline greatly. After 14 games so far this season, the Jackets have a mere 2 wins. They are dead last in the NHL and have been absolutely horrible. Although, if they'd like, they could continue playing like this for the next 68 games and have a legitimate shot at getting Nail Yakupov.
