Tim Thomas is taking sides in the Chick-fil-A controversy. The goaltender posted on his Facebook page Thursday afternoon declaring his support for the fast food chain. "I stand with Chick-fil-A," Thomas wrote, along with a rundown of some quotes made by the company's president, Dan Cathy. The restaurant chain has come under fire recently for comments made by Cathy in support of traditional marriage and against gay marriage. Cathy suggested that Americans could be "inviting God's judgment on our nation" by supporting gay marriage, drawing criticism on several fronts. Boston mayor Thomas Menino was among those speaking out against Chick-fil-A, recently publishing a letter in support of gay rights and urged Cathy to reconsider plans for a branch in Massachusetts. Thomas, 38, plans to sit out this upcoming NHL season and is not expected to play for the Bruins.

NHL Lockout Could Be Looming, But Claude Julien's Extension a Reason for Optimism When Bruins Do Return to Ice

The Bruins have won just one Stanley Cup in the last 40 years. With that championship coming just over 13 months ago, it shouldn't come as a surprise that the club continues to try to keep as many key components of that title squad as it can. After locking up free agents Chris Kelly, Gregory Campbell and Daniel Paille earlier this summer, the Bruins signed coach Claude Julien...

If we could be serious for a minute.....

We rarely do serious posts here at Days of Y'Orr. It obviously isn't our style. Quite frankly we're not even remotely good at being serious. Not on this blog and certainly not in our day to day lives. We take hockey so obnoxiously seriously that we had to form a blog to do ridiculous photoshops and needlessly troll opposing fan bases just to take the edge...
