The Philadelphia Flyers announced today that Kimmo Timonen's season is over. The workhorse defenseman will miss the next 4-5 weeks with a compression fracture in his left foot.
Kimmo was one of four players who appeared in all 45 games this season. Timonen was having a solid year for the Flyers this season, registering 5 goals, 24 assists in 45 games.
The Flyers host the Boston Bruins tonight at the Wells Fargo Center, in which the club will hold a special pre-game ceremony in honor of the tragic events that occured in Boston.
