from Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune, It was late last week when Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews flashed a grin following his fourth consecutive day of skating and shared his optimism for rejoining the lineup a couple of days later.

Other than a short time on the ice Wednesday, Toews has taken a step back in his recovery from a concussion that will sideline the 23-year-old for his 12th game in a row when the Hawks face the Stars on Friday night in Dallas.
