Lowetide:
The Edmonton Oilers have recalled Gilbert Brule, Magnus Paajarvi and Ryan O'Marra from Oklahoma City. We can imply a few things from this transaction, including the fact that Teemu Hartikainen and Josh Green didn't impress enough in their latest cup of coffee. We await news today on Jordan Eberle's injury, and there's a chance Brule won't get through waivers.

Richard Cloutier: Does Brule's Loss = A Multi-Player Trade?
Thanks to the Phoenix Coyotes picking Gilbert Brule from the Oilers on re-entry waivers, the Oil are down to 48 contracts. Was that the plan all along? It was fairly obvious to me Brule was going to be picked off of waivers. He's a former high draft pick, and a player who had at least one decent season in the NHL. He's also young enough to have plenty of time to turn into...
Is This Brule’s Last Chance?
GLENDALE, ARIZONA—- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today the Coyotes have claimed center Gilbert Brule off re-entry waivers from the Edmonton Oilers.
The 5-foot-11, 174 pound Brule has recorded 8-10-18 in 27 games this season with the Oklahoma City Barons, the Oilers American Hockey League. In 2010-11, the Edmonton, Alberta native appeared in 41 games...
Richard Cloutier: Oilers Call-up 2; Attempt to Call-Up a Third
Thanks to the 101 injuries the Oilers currently have, this morning they called up from the minors Magnus Paajarvi and Ryan O'Marra. They also placed forward Gilbert Brule on re-entry waivers, with the intention of calling him up tomorrow if he clears.
My instant-analysis is as follows:
Paajarvi - Rumor is, the Oilers will give him an opportunity to play on one of the top...

Eberle Update to Come
I'll remember the day Jordan Eberle was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers. Wall to wall grin and as we roll along it's a good starting point for the current cluster. Today or tomorrow or a week from now the Oilers will tell us how bad his current injury is and how long he'll be gone. Eberle's loss is a big one, and of course injuries are beginning to become a prominent...
Oilers' Eberle suffers knee injury
Edmonton Oilers forward Jordan Eberle left Saturday's game against Dallas with a knee injury.
Oilers coach Tom Renney said he did not know the severity of the injury.
Eberle leads the team in scoring with 17 goals and 26 assists. He has already matched his team-leading total of 43 points from last season.
The 21-year-old Eberle has been on a tear with 30 points in his last...
Eberle Out 2-3 Weeks
The results are back, and better than expected for Oilers’ winger Jordan Eberle. Eberle who is the team points leader. Eberle is expected to miss 2-3 weeks in what is being referred to as a sprained knee.

Things are going from bad to worse for the Edmonton Oilers. What started out as an amazing season, the Oilers at one point led the western conference has now turned to what appears to be another basement finish

G41 Oilers at Stars
You can see the Oilers future on display every time they play. Taylor Hall, Jordan Eberle, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and on it goes. A 220-pound Finn winger is trying to wiggle into the everyday lineup and said player has some nice things. Is there room? Who goes?Teemu Hartikainen is 220 pounds of mad Finn, and as he showed last spring the young man can impact the game down low and in...
Sail On, Sailor
We did this a couple of weeks ago but the Oilers road trip, injuries and zero talk about an Ales Hemsky extension get us here. The Oilers will be active from now to the deadline. Book it.INJURYThe road trip was a disaster on all levels, but losing RNH, Gilbert and Eberle is especially cruel. Edmonton sent down Teemu Hartikainen and Josh Green after the game and it's reasonable...
G 42 Devils at Oilers
Las Vegas in the olden days must have been something else. The NHL will be expanding soon, 2 more teams are required to make things work. Among the possible cities are Toronto 2.0, Quebec City, Las Vegas, Seattle, Kansas City. The old KC Scouts are in town tonight.Steve Tambellini could help this team by adding a veteran defenseman now. I understand the hope is that Ryan Whitney...
Devils-Oilers Preview
Already missing one of the NHL's top rookies, the Edmonton Oilers now must also try to get by without their leading scorer for the immediate future.
The Oilers look to avoid a fourth consecutive loss when they take the ice without injured star Jordan Eberle on Wednesday night against the visiting New Jersey Devils.
Edmonton (16-22-3) has dropped its last three games since star...
