Game #43 LA Kings
(20-15-5, 16th in NHL)
vs
Washington Capitals
(21-16-2, 21st (!) in NHL) 7:30pm, Staples Center
Los Angeles, CA BEST PLAYER TO WEAR BOTH COLORS: There is something so deliciously ironic about Anson Carter calling
out the Columbus Blue Jackets for not doing their job right.  BEST OPPOSITION BLOGS:

Rock the Red Sometimes... you can't make this **** up. From the quotable Dustin Penner:
"I woke up fine, sat down to eat and it locked right up. It never happened to me before. I couldn’t stand up. I was probably at the third stage of evolution.... “Apparently it’s one of those mysterious things, where you can throw it out (from) sneezing. I just leaned over to dip into some delicious pancakes that my wife made.”
And sometimes... it's just too easy: Remember when those Toronto Maple Leaf fans were throwing waffles onto their ice of their home team? LA Kings fans... assuming Dustin Penner gets back into the lineup for the Kings... you know what to do. YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO! Recently The Globe and Mail's columnist, Eric Duhatschek, earmarked tonight's Los Angeles Kings - Washington Capitals matchup as an important one... in terms of showcasing the 2 most dissapointing teams this NHL season.
"The Kings and Capitals both joined the ranks of teams purging their coaches. Six in all joined the hired-to-be-fired brigade, including Terry Murray in L.A., where he was replaced by Darryl Sutter and Bruce Boudreau, replaced in Washington by Dale Hunter. Rarely has a year seen so many highly paid, high-end talents sputter off to singularly mediocre starts - Anze Kopitar in L.A., and Alex Ovechkin in Washington were just two players not providing very much bang for their bucks."
Trust me... nothing can be more disappointing than losing 1-0 to the Columbus Blue Jackets. Ok... maybe one more thing. Drew Doughty's 2011-2012 season. No Goals in 13 Games.
4 Pancakes in 1 Breakfast.  PENNER PANCAKE EDITION: The rules are still simple. Just guess the exact time and period that Dustin Penner scores his 3rd goal of the season tonight against the Capitals... and you win a free t-shirt from The Royal Half Gift Shoppe. AND AS AN EXTRA SPECIAL BONUS... The Royal Half will give you a $25 gift card to IHOP. You can put your predictions in the comments below or reply to me on Twitter with #PennerPoint. Good luck!
