Tuomo Ruutu a potential free-agent forward of  the Carolina Hurricanes, has perhaps created the most trade buzz ahead of the NHL trade deadline that is at the end of this month. However, Jim Rutherford GM of the Carolina Hurricanes has told  ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun we will try to re-sign Tuomo Ruutu instead of trading him. After a meeting between the two earlier this week, the Finnish forward and GM appeared to be on the same page regarding an extended future together according to reports.Ruutu is expected to want a long-term deal. If both sides can't agree on dollars and term, the soon-to-be 29-year-old could still be available before Feb. 27.It is my belief that Tuomo Ruutu would command a high price if he does make his way to the trade market. Ruutu possesses a special skill-set that is a blend of sandpaper and scoring touch. At the end of the day, by all reports  Jim Rutherford seems keen on keeping Tuomo Ruutu with the Carolina Hurricanes. My money is on Tuomo Ruutu staying in...
