Puck Drunk Love:
As seen on Busted Coverage this morning, a local news intern has allegedly been fired over this unfortunate typo. As to what a Jert even is, I'm unsure. I did a quick Google search and some Urban Dictionary thumbing through, and nothing reprehensible came up. It's just a typo.
Or is it...?
No, never mind. I think it's just part of the latest chant at the MTS Centre. Kudos to Ally for the idea -- too good to not run with it. Turns out that this intern just had his finger on the pulse of Winnipeg this whole time.
GO JERTS GO.

Last year, the Winnipeg Jets won just a woeful 14 of 41 games on the road.
Perhaps the biggest reason for the club missing out on a playoff spot in their first year out of Atlanta, the Jets knew that the results on the road simply had to change if theyâre to compete for a spot in this yearâs 48-game sprint to the postseason. And they did, in the opening two minutes...
Greg Cambell crashes the net in the Bruin's shootout victory
The Bruins get the win on Saturday afternoon beating the Winnipeg Jets in a shootout. Bergy and Seguin scored on sweet little shots to out score the jets 2-1 after the 5 minute overtime.
The B’s came out of the gate slow and sloppy and let the Jets
jump on the board first. Chris Thorburn buried a juicy rebound...
Jets winger Evander Kane continued to kill the Caps Tuesday, with a goal and an assist. (Clydeorama)
The Washington Capitals continued their slow start to the 2013 season Tuesday night, taking a 4-2 defeat at the hands of the Winnipeg Jets inside Verizon Center. The Capitals scored first with a deflection goal off the body of Matt Hendricks, but conceded four unanswered goals...
The Washington Capitals will kick off their 2013 home schedule Tuesday night as they welcome the Winnipeg Jets to Verizon Center for a Southeast Division clash. The Capitals, having got off to a poor start by getting smacked around in Tampa Saturday night, will need to take advantage of a Jets squad playing their second game in 30 hours. Winnipeg lost to the Bruins,...
Saturday night we saw a great effort from the B's as they absolutely dominated the "wicked good" Rangers 3-1. They responded to the strong play by putting in a strong effort against the Winnipeg Jets, hitting 5 posts, but coming out with the shoot out victory, bringing the B's to an early 2-0.
On the other hands the Rangers followed up the Saturday loss to a 6...

The Winnipeg Jets went into Washington tonight, the second game of a back-to-back, where they needed to bring some energy and performance where little existed last year. In the Jets 2.0 inaugural season they were 1-10-1 in back-to-back games, not a flattering stat. Thus, early in the season they needed to buck that trend and tonight was their first...
(Welcome to the TD Garden for today's matinee affair between the Boston Bruins and visiting Winnipeg Jets...)
Saturday night could've been better for the Black-and-Gold, who proved that they're capable of hanging with the East-favorite New York Rangers, downing them by a score of 3-1, with goals coming from every line but the third. Goaltender Tuukka Rask stopped 20...
When the Jets put the ink into Ondrej Pavelec's pen to sign a new five-year, $19.5 million contract this summer, my eyes rolled as far back into my head as possible.
I knew it would be a break or bust kind of deal.
But the Winnipeg Jets cannot be condemned for making this signing - Pavelec is their only real legitimate goaltender capable of being a number one.
